CICE at ACCE: Chambers Lead on Energy and the Future

The Chambers for Innovation and Clean Energy (CICE) team recently attended the 2025 Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) Annual Convention, where over 1,000 chamber professionals gathered under the theme “Invent the Future.”

CICE’s Ryan Evans, Jennifer Reiser, Kyle Sheldon, and Colin Diaz participated in keynote sessions, educational panels, and one-on-one conversations with chamber leaders shaping the future of their economies and communities. Jennifer also facilitated the Finance and Operations Division Roundtable, and the team connected with several members of CICE’s Advisory Board and National Leadership Council.

One standout session, “Signals and Sensemaking”, highlighted growing concerns around energy demand, storage, transmission, and costs. Led by futurist and economist Rebecca Ryan of Next Generation Consulting (responsible for ACCE’s Horizon2035 Initiative), the session brought together over 100 chamber leaders to identify world signals to identify early indicators of economic shifts.   The strong focus on energy among participants was a clear signal itself—affirming the urgency and relevancy of CICE’s work.

As the conversation around clean energy grows, CICE remains dedicated to empowering chambers to lead—leveraging their influence, taking bold steps, and helping businesses navigate the transition to a stronger, more resilient economy.
