Title: Program Assistant, Energizing Economies
Reports to: Director of Local Engagement

Overview
Chambers for Innovation and Clean Energy (CICE) is a nationwide network of chambers of commerce and economic development organizations advancing the clean energy economy. CICE supports and amplifies the voice of economic leaders and builds the business case for clean energy and sustainability as drivers of economic growth.
CICE is hiring a full-time Program Assistant to support the Energizing Economies campaign, a national initiative building business and economic support for utility-scale clean energy projects in communities across the country.
Position Description
The Program Assistant supports the Energizing Economies team in advancing outreach, events, and resource development. This role is well-suited for a highly organized, detail-oriented self-starter who is comfortable communicating with external stakeholders and managing multiple priorities.
Responsibilities
Event Support
Support coordination of in-person and virtual events, including scheduling, logistics, and timelines
Manage invitation lists, RSVPs, outreach, follow-up communications, and outcomes
Assist with preparation and distribution of event materials in coordination with the Communications team
Outreach
Support outreach to chambers of commerce and economic development organizations, especially in rural communities
Conduct background research on communities, organizations, and projects
Perform regular phone and email outreach and maintain accurate tracking in internal systems
Resource Development
Support research and drafting of campaign materials, including briefs, FAQs, and reports
Assist in preparing written materials for public comment and project-related submissions
Operations
Support day-to-day program operations, including scheduling, calendar coordination, and administrative support
Assist in maintaining and improving internal tracking systems, databases, templates, and basic workflow tools
Qualifications
1-3 years of relevant work experience, particularly with chambers of commerce, economic development organizations, clean energy, or issue campaigns
Strong organizational, project management, and basic operations skills
Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Canva, Adobe InDesign, or Salesforce a plus
Clear and professional written and verbal communication
Strong research and analytical skills
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
Comfortable engaging with external stakeholders via email and phone
Able to manage multiple tasks and follow through with limited supervision
Bonus: Experience with public speaking or presenting to groups
Details
This position offers a salary of $50,000 along with a full benefits package, and a flexible, fully remote work environment that prioritizes collaboration, trust, and work-life balance.
Occasional travel (~15%) may be required to support events and program activities.
