Jennifer Zajac
Communications Director
Jennifer “JZ” Zajac joined CICE in 2025 as Communications Director. In her role, Jennifer leads the development and execution of communication strategies that elevate CICE’s national profile and advance its mission to support clean energy innovation through economic development. She oversees internal and external messaging and serves as a liaison with media, stakeholders, and community leaders.
Jennifer brings more than twenty years of experience in clean energy, journalism, and corporate communications. She has produced earned media campaigns that attracted global investment, coached C-suite executives for international energy forums, and built authentic partnerships across utilities, regulators, and environmental justice organizations.
She served on the 2025 Board of Directors for the Women’s Energy Network, Carolinas Chapter. Her podcast, Clean Energy Shorts: Brief Chats with Power Leaders, offers brief and bright insights on the energy transition, renewables and sustainability.
Jennifer holds a master’s degree in Global Energy Management from the University of Colorado Denver and a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from The George Washington University. She also completed the Business Development Program at Harvard Business School – Queens College.
