Elevating Chamber Professionals: The Power of Growth at CCCE

Chamber leadership is constantly evolving, making ongoing learning and professional development essential for driving impact, fostering innovation, and strengthening communities. The Center for Chamber of Commerce Excellence (CCCE) meets this need by offering a rigorous three-year professional development program, modeled after the Institute of Organization Management (IOM), that equips participants with in-depth knowledge of chamber management and the skills to navigate and lead in a complex landscape. Graduates earn the Advanced Chamber Management Certificate, demonstrating their expertise and readiness to drive meaningful change.

The CCCE program is accredited through Texas A&M University and managed by The Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives (TCCE)—the longest-standing association of chamber professionals in the United States. TCCE is dedicated to strengthening chamber leadership, fostering a network of professionals committed to excellence, collaboration, and meaningful impact.

Last month, Chambers for Innovation and Clean Energy (CICE) team members Kyle Sheldon, Southern Regional Director, and Jennifer Reiser, Director of Operations, participated in CCCE. Kyle, in his first year of the program, gained valuable insights, made connections, and discussed how clean energy can drive economic growth with fellow chamber professionals. Jennifer, serving as faculty, led two third-year sessions: Becoming an Effective Leader and Messaging & Marketing.

Jennifer’s sessions highlighted the power of storytelling as a strategic tool for chambers, drawing from CICE’s Chamber Clean Energy Toolkit, which showcases chamber leadership across the country.
